Happenings @ the Freight Shed: Last Winter Farmers Market - April 26, 2014

Visit the Freight Shed Community Room on the morning of Saturday, April 26th – the last indoor winter market of the season – and meet some reps of the Bath Youth Meetinghouse & Skate Park.

You can also buy a $5 raffle ticket, and win a $50 gift card for the Skate Park, good for lessons, skate, bike and scooter sessions or at the board shop!

Down East Magazine named the Skate Park – the largest indoor skate park in the state – as BEST PLACE TO BE A TEEN in 2013.

Half Pipes for Half Pints

For Boys & Girls, 6 to 10 Years Old

Every Saturday | 11 - 12pm

But it’s not all about teens: Saturday mornings are reserved for lessons and sessions for Half Pipes for Half Pints, kids aged 6 – 10. Pick up a flier in the Community Room for more information or visit their website at

The Skate Park is home to a wide range of community and youth oriented events, and it needs the community’s supportIt’s only partially funded by the City of Bath, and the survival of this critical resource depends on all of us.

In the summer, the Skate Park offers free meals to hungry kids (in lieu of the school lunch program), serving meals and snacks throughout the day. It’s home to Open Mic nights where budding musicians have shined, and it plays host to special events like the new ELECTRONIC RAVE DANCE nights for teens and the recent fundraiser and awareness booster SKATIN’ FOR JESSICA.

Come on in, say hello, buy a raffle ticket or two, and consider Half Pipes for Half Pints, lessons for the little ones, on Saturday mornings!
