On
June 28th Freight Shed supporters, farmers and board members enjoyed
delicious food, silent auction bidding and an excellent presentation by
Wiebke at the Alliance's Annual Meeting & Potluck Supper. Despite
the cool, rainy weather, the freight shed was cheery and welcoming.
The
Freight Shed Alliance welcomed Julia Simmons to the board. Passionate advocate
for local foods, farming and education, she brings great organizational skills
to the BFSA. Lori Benson, Maine's First Ship Board member was recognized for
her efforts as a volunteer for the Freight Shed and organizer of Fiber Day, now
an annual event.
