We at the Bath
Freight Shed are asking you to share our excitement about a recent nomination by
the Maine Masonic Charitable Foundation for one of their annual $2000.00
awards. These awards support a wide range
of activities in Maine by organizations dedicated to improving the quality of
life and society.
We are looking for support in winning this
grant, and hope to use it to make healthy foods available
to the whole community. As we make improvements to the Freight Shed we move
toward providing a valuable, central, community setting for the Winter Farmers
Market and educational workshops focusing on local healthy food, its
preparation and use. We have existing projects underway—like finishing our
kitchen to better support community food events and programs—that would
benefit from this funding.
